1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Transferz B.V. (“Transferz”, “we”, “us”) collects and processes personal data when you use the Transferz Driver app (the “App”).
Transferz B.V. is the data controller for the personal data processing described in this Privacy Policy.
The App is intended for drivers working with transport companies that partner with Transferz. It allows you to log in, view assigned journeys, upload and change your profile picture, update journey statuses, and perform live journey tracking during active trips.
We only collect personal data that is necessary to operate the App.
2. Personal data we collect
2.1 Account information
When you log in to the App, we collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number
Your phone number is used to authenticate you via a one-time access code sent through SMS, WhatsApp, or Telegram.
2.2 Journey information
When you use the App, we process:
- Journeys assigned to you
- Journey details (pickup and drop-off locations, timing, passenger information where applicable)
- Journey status updates (Upcoming, Driver underway, Driver arrived, Journey in progress, Completed)
This information is linked to your driver account so you can perform your work.
2.3 Location data during active journeys
The App collects precise location data (GPS coordinates) during active journeys.
Location tracking:
- Starts when you tap “On my way to pickup” (journey marked as Driver underway)
- Continues during the active journey
- Stops automatically when the journey is marked as Completed
We do not track your location outside active journeys.
To enable live journey tracking, the App requires location permission set to “Allow all the time” (background location access).
If background location permission is not enabled, you will not be able to update journey statuses, as location tracking is required for operational functionality.
Location data is used solely to:
- Monitor journey execution
- Confirm arrival and departure times
- Support operational coordination
- Ensure service quality and safety
- Resolve disputes or compliance matters
Location data is not used for advertising purposes.
2.4 Profile photo
You may upload or update a profile photo within the App.
If you choose to upload a photo:
- It is securely stored
- It is linked to your driver account
- It is used for identification and operational purposes
Providing a profile photo may be required by your transport company.
2.5 Camera and photo access
The App may request access to:
- Your device camera
- Your photo library or media storage
This access is only used if you choose to upload or update a profile photo.
The App does not access your photos unless you actively select an image to upload.
2.6 Support communications
If you contact support through the App, we may process:
- The information you provide in your support request
- Any messages exchanged with our support team
2.7 Technical and diagnostic data
To ensure the App functions reliably and securely, we collect limited technical and performance data, including:
- App version and application identifier
- Device type, model, brand, and operating system version
- Network type (e.g., Wi-Fi or cellular)
- Session identifiers (to understand app usage flows)
- Screen views and navigation events within the App
- App performance metrics (e.g., load times, long tasks)
- Network request metadata (e.g., request endpoint, status code, latency; not request or response bodies)
- Crash reports and error logs
- Session recordings and replays (visual playback of screen interactions to reproduce bugs and improve user experience; sensitive inputs are masked)
This information is used solely to:
- Monitor and improve app performance
- Detect and fix technical issues
- Maintain stability and reliability
- Ensure security and prevent misuse
We do not use this data for advertising or profiling purposes.
We do not intentionally include personal data in diagnostic logs and take steps to avoid logging such information.
3. How we use your data
We use personal data to:
- Authenticate you and manage your driver account
- Display and manage journeys assigned to you
- Enable live journey tracking during active trips
- Record journey status updates
- Send service-related notifications regarding journey assignments and unassignments
- Provide operational and technical support
- Maintain security, prevent misuse, and improve reliability
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
4. Legal basis for processing
Depending on applicable law, we process personal data based on:
- Performance of a contract (providing the App functionality)
- Legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service quality, operational monitoring, and reliability)
- Legal obligations, where applicable
5. Data sharing
We share personal data only when necessary:
- With the transport company you work for
- With travellers, where necessary to facilitate the assigned journey (e.g., your name and contact details)
- With service providers that help operate the App (hosting, messaging, infrastructure, analytics). These providers process personal data on our behalf under data processing agreements and are contractually required to protect your data.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary:
- Account data is retained while your driver account is active
- Journey and location data are retained in accordance with contractual and legal requirements and may be retained for dispute resolution and compliance purposes.
- Technical and diagnostic logs are retained for a limited period in active systems (typically up to two weeks). Archived logs may be retained for a longer period where necessary for security, troubleshooting, or compliance purposes.
When data is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymised.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities
- Receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format (where applicable)
